Aurea and Gildas Quartets NEXT MUSIC IN PEEBLES CONCERT

Aurea and Gildas Quartets

For the grand finale of our 2016/17 season, we are proud to welcome not one but two excellent, multi-award winning young string quartets, the Aurea and Gildas Quartets, combined in one of the most exciting new collaborations in UK chamber music.

The glorious String Octet by the youthful genius Felix Mendelssohn brings our season to a magnificent close, and before that we will hear string sextets by Strauss and Korngold.

This is a rare chance to hear some of the wonderful music written for larger string ensemble, played by some of the finest chamber musicians of the new generation. A fitting end to another successful season!
