Trio Ecossaise NEXT MUSIC IN PEEBLES CONCERT

TRIO ECOSSAISE

For our final concert of 2019, we are delighted to welcome Trio Ecossaise, made up of three of Scotland's finest chamber musicians. Over the last 15 years, they have been playing innovative programmes of original works and arrangements for clarinet, cello and piano.

Their programme showcases female composers - in fact, this will be our first ever concert featuring music entirely by female composers. Two works from 19th century Europe, by Louise Farrenc and Clara Schumann, frame one from late 20th century America, the 'Craftsbury Trio' by Gwyneth Walker.

Three fine pieces of music, written by three major women composers and performed by three outstanding women musicians - plus the 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann's birth. Lots to celebrate!
